SEASON number two

March 6, 2019

Year Two is in the books!! Joining this family of passionate women is truly a blessing. I was overcome with emotions last night at our end of season banquet. I couldn’t stop smiling from ear to ear when talking about every single gymnast. These girls inspire me to no end. They are determined, brave, confident, energetic, positive and strong. Joy fills my heart when I walk into that gym everyday, coaching a sport that we all love. Don’t get me wrong, we have our hard days. Long hours, aches and pains, frustrations and mental blocks. Seeing the transformation of these girls from the beginning of the season to now makes it all worth it. These girls make long lasting friendships, endless memories and life long skills. I could not be more proud of how far these girls have come, and I am excited to see where the next years take us.

Thank you gymnastics for surrounding me with badass women that push me to be the best version of myself. I am beyond thankful for this opportunity. Ciao.

SIX years

February 11, 2019

This past January Nick and I spent our six year anniversary at the Foshay Tower in downtown Minneapolis. Since we live in different cities, and I have been busy between two jobs, we decided to do a stay-cation downtown. The Foshay tower was beautiful! They had two bars, one on the main floor and one on the 27th floor. We enjoyed a sweet surprise from the staff of cupcakes and champagne to cheers (and make mimosas in the morning).

For dinner we went about a block away to a quaint Italian restaurant, Zelo. The food was delicious and the drinks were fantastic! I am excited to see where the next years take us. Our six year anniversary will be hard to beat, on to the next ciao!

TWENTY EIGHTEEN

February 11, 2019

Yes, I know this is about a month and a half late, life has been a little crazy. My what a year it has been with many new adventures and experiences full of love.

From our first trip together to celebrate our 5 year anniversary, to a weekend in the Big Apple and a weekend in the Windy City. A wild bachelorette party in Arizona to an annual week in Door County, and a celebration of the new Mr. & Mrs. Mielke. Coach’s night out at the fair to September weekends spent up north, and the holidays spent with the most important people in my life.

As 2018 comes to an end, I look forward to what 2019 will bring. My resolution this year is to be more spontaneous. I would like to think I am pretty organized and good at planning, but breaking out of my comfort zone and taking life by the horns will be a challenge! On to the next, ciao!
